In January 2012 young singers, actors, dancers and models are going to compete for the title Baby Star of Kazakhstan and Grand Prix of the contest: acting classes in Hollywood for older age participants and trip to Disneyland for younger contestants.
Traditionally, on the New Year's Eve the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan carries out a celebratory event for children. The event was attended by children from orphanages and boarding schools of Almaty and Almaty district. Students of Almaty Choreographic School named after A.V. Seleznev gave the audience perfect New Year mood. Young artists – the winners of different international competitions – showed about twenty performances, including new premiere ones. The program of the event included: fragments of the classical heritage, modern choreography, and concert performances.

An Annual Ceremony of Rewarding Laureates of the Foundation of the First President of the RK was carried out in the hall of Kazakh State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Abay on 7th December, 2011. Foundation of the First President awarded young scientists for the best researches in fields of science and technology; young artists for the most outstanding and original works, programs and projects that have received wide public recognition and have made a significant contribution to the cultural life of our Republic.
International Scientific-Practical Conference on actual problems of Oncology
An International Scientific-Practical Conference “Together against Cancer”on actual problems of oncology has started on November 30, 2011 with support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation.
The opening ceremony was attended by Majilis Deputy of the Parliament Samakova A.B., Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President Muhamedzhanov B.G., Head of the Almaty Public Health Department Durumbetov E. and others. The conference was also attended by top specialists on oncology from USA, UK, Japan, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Hungary, India, Georgia and other countries.
A poetry evening with a poet, specialist on Turks Murat Uali was held at the Foundation of the First President in the frameworks of the “Almaty – the source of inspiration” cycle. The author presented his recent poems. Murat Uali read his poems from “Turk motives”, “Apple city” cycles, as well as poems about traveling and lyrics. The most solid and complete poem cycle is “Turk motives”.
Fifth International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists “Innovative Development and Demand for Science in Modern Kazakhstan”
The V International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists “Innovative Development and Demand for Science in Modern Kazakhstan” was held on November 24-25, 2011. The Conference was carries out by the Council of Young Scientists under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation.
The goals of the Conference are: the development of creative activity of young scientists, their involvement in solving actual modern science problems, development of scientific and educational space, establishing contacts between future colleagues.
18th Anniversary of National Currency of Kazakhstan
A meeting with designers of the national currency tenge - Suleymenov Timur Bimashevich and Duzelkhanov Agymsaly Duzelkhanovich, was held at the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation on November 22, 2011.
The meeting is devoted to the 18th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's National Currency tenge.
International Scientific Conference “Culture of Eurasian Nomads”
An International Scientific Conference “Culture of Eurasian Nomads” dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Foundation of the First President on November 15, 2011 at 11.00.
The purpose of the conference is to understand conceptually the specifics and uniqueness of the culture of Ancient Eurasian Nomads. It was attended by outstanding scientists from Kazakhstan, Turkey, and USA.
